What does wasp nest removal cost?

By Wespenprofis.ch · Reviewed by:Fachbewilligung Schädlingsbekämpfung VFB-S · Updated: 3 July 2026

At a glance

The cost depends on accessibility, height, the type of nest and the method used — a ground nest or a nest in the attic takes more effort than a nest hanging freely in the garden. You only receive a binding fixed price after a short assessment. Current rates are listed under /preise.

Why this is tricky

Flat-rate prices found online are rarely much help, because the cost of a wasp nest removal depends very much on the individual case. A small, easily accessible nest in the garden has to be judged differently from a nest deep in the attic or a ground nest that first has to be tracked down across a wide area. Anyone relying on unrealistically low online prices is often disappointed — or reaches for a home remedy to save money, which can become dangerous (see our guide on removing a wasp nest yourself).

What you should do straight away

  1. Note the location, height and approximate size of the nest.
  2. Identify the species roughly if you can (wasp, hornet) — /arten can help.
  3. Do not take any measures of your own that could increase the work for the professional.
  4. Ask for a no-obligation assessment rather than relying on flat-rate figures.
  5. Obtain a fixed price after the assessment, before the removal is carried out.

Good to know

The price of a professional removal depends above all on how accessible the nest is, on the height — roof or facade compared with ground level, for instance — on the species involved, and on whether it is a nest above ground or a ground nest, which is often more time-consuming to locate. The chosen method also plays a part — cold treatment, mechanical removal, relocation or, in exceptional cases, the use of a biocide. Wespenprofis.ch will quote you a clear fixed price after a short assessment. You will find our current rates and price ranges under /preise.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no flat-rate list price?

Because the effort and risk involved depend heavily on the individual case — accessibility, height, species and the location of the nest differ considerably from one job to the next.

Is removing a ground nest more expensive than removing a nest on the facade?

There is no blanket answer. A ground nest often has to be located first, whereas a nest on the facade or in the roof can involve extra effort because of the height. What counts is the assessment on site.

Will I be given a binding price before the removal?

Yes. After the assessment we quote you a fixed price before the removal is carried out — with no surprises afterwards.
